Matt Hunter/Jennifer Hines Takes 1^ST at Lake Jackson

From Georgia Couples Division on April 4, 2009, Matt Hunter and Jennifer Hines is one step closer to the ABA Couples National Championship with a 1st Place win and $638.00 in the ABA Couples bass tournament held on Lake Jackson this past weekend . Matt and Jennifer’s five bass limit weighed in at 10.96 pounds and were caught using spinnerbaits in 8 inches of water in the upper Tussahaw River of the lake.  Second place went to Cary and Peggy Bentz with a weight of 10.00 pounds and third place was Brian & Julie Robinson with a weight of 9.74 pounds.  Men’s big bass was awarded was to Brian Robinson for catching a 4.37 pound large mouth and the ladies big bass was awarded to Peggy Bentz for catching a 3.72 pound Large mouth.

These couples are acquiring valuable points to insure their birth in American Bass Angler’s Couple’s National Championship that will be held this fall.

The top five couples were:
1. Matt Hunter and Jennifer Hines – 10.96 lbs
2. Cary and Peggy Bentz – 10.00 lbs
3. Brian and Julie Robinson – 9.74 lbs
4. Dave and Ann Marie Fox – 7.79 lbs
5. Richard and Tori Martens – 7.77 lbs

This division’s next tournament will be 17 May 2009 on West Point Lake at Highland’s Marina.
