Arnolds Make Lake Guntersville Great Again
Donna and Marc Arnold showed that Lake Guntersville still has big bass swimming around in its famed submerged grass. The Arnolds easily won the tournament by over six pounds! Marc said top water and swimbaits were the key to catching their 23.80 lb stringer and the heaviest bass of the tournament which weighed 6.40 lbs. Donna, in her first couples event landed fish along her husband and enjoyed the day. The family dog shown in the photo, also accompanied them, but did not get a bite.
Second place team was Brooke and Roy Galbrath with 16.71 lbs.
Third was Pam and Ken Draskovic with 15.18 lbs
Fourth was Cliff and Eileen Hambry with 14.63 lbs.
Just outside the cut line was the team of Keri and Josh Butler with 13.76 lbs.
Saturday’s event had 15 teams with 8 teams catching limits. Lake Guntersville had been proving very difficult in the past few tournaments, but on Saturday it gave up more fish to these Couples than previous events.
Kerri Butler won the Ladies big bass pot with her 3.29 lb largemouth.
Marc Arnold won Men’s big bass with a 6.40 lb largemouth.
This division’s next tournament will be 22 July 2017 on Lake Guntersville Al.
