Donathan and Sherry Jacks win on Lake Mitchell 

ATHENS, Ala. – Donathan and Sherry Jacks won the American Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Central Alabama Division 1 tournament, held March 17, 2018, on Lake Mitchell.
    
Running out of Higgins Ferry near Clanton, AL, they caught 5 bass weighing 15.48 pounds. For the victory, they earned a check for $630.00. Donathan won Man’s Big Fish with a 3.84-pounder.

 In second for the 14 teams, Matt and Emily Dean caught five bass weighing 15.17 pounds.    They pocketed a check for $420.00. Taking third place, the team of Kerry and Heather Wilson caught 5 bass weighing 15.01 pounds.  In fourth place, Terry Durham and Ann Boatright caught 5 bass weighing 12.88 pounds.    Luke Plunkett and Caylee Falcon rounded out the top five teams with 5 bass weighing 12.13 pounds.  Sugar Walker won the Woman’s Big Fish contest with a 4.09 pound kicker.

All ABA American Couples Series events involve a team format with each team composed of one man and one woman. Contestants between 14 and 18 years old may participate with a parent’s written permission.

The next divisional tournament will be April 21st on the Alabama River out of Swift Creek. The top angling couples from across the nation earn the right to compete in the annual American Bass Anglers Couples Series National Championship tournament.

All ABA American Couples Series events involve a team format with each team composed of one man and one woman.  Contestants between the ages of 14 and 16 years old may participate with a parent’s written permission.

The top angling couples from across the nation earn the right to compete in the annual American Bass Anglers Couples Series National Championship Tournament.
